All Aboard! Awesome locations for Transportation and Architecture enthusiasts of all ages
I’ve always loved transit-related museums and my 2 year old is obsessed with trains – as well as buses, trucks and boats. We are lucky to live near the Toronto Train museum/Union Station/Toronto Island in Toronto, so he gets to see a great variety.
We hope to take him to some of these cool Canadian transit locations to help expand his interests, and help him develop an appreciation for science, technology and how it got to where it is now.
Places
Toronto Railway Museum – The John Street Roundhouse
Toronto, Ontario
We love the Trains! This is Sage learning that you can ride them as well – he was hesitant at first, but ended up loving it 🙂
This little train is pretty cool for little ones to ride – they also have a bunch of cool things like a conductor duck and a train whistle. The museum looked really nice too, but was closed for COVID, we will have to re-visit. It is a great open-air Rail museum, there are many examples of trains that have gone through the old Grand Trunk Railway over the years. Steamwhistle Brewery as well as the Rec Room make the area appealing to visitors of all ages.
