For Sites What are the criteria for registering a historic place?
Historic Places Days is for buildings, sites and landscapes that are open to the public and celebrate Canada’s history, heritage or culture.
This year, if closed to the public, participating sites should consider hosting a virtual summer 2021 event that is registered to this website.
Participating sites might be owned or operated by governments, charities, not-for-profits, tourism agencies, local heritage businesses, arts and heritage organizations, etc.
For Sites I operate a restaurant in a heritage building. Can I be part of #HistoricPlacesDays?
Yes, you can register for #HistoricPlacesDays if your establishment is located in a heritage building. All sites are evaluated before being approved to participate in Canada Historic Places Days. #HistoricPlacesDays is a celebration of heritage sites.
