Métis Crossing is the first major Métis cultural destination in Alberta and is a premier centre for Alberta Métis cultural interpretation, education, gatherings, and events. Sitting on 512-acres of land, comprised of river lot titles from the original Métis settlers to the region in the late 1800s, the crossing is designed to engage and excite visitors through an exploration of Métis cultural experiences. Opening in Fall 2021 is the boutique 40 room Lodge at Metis Crossing.

Notes from "Celebrate Makers Coast-to-Coast-to-Coast with Passport Places"

Métis Crossing invites you to immerse yourself in Métis history, culture and tradition. Through programming that involves art, dance, music, and the natural environment, as well as exhibits and historic buildings, visitors will learn all about the Métis.
