Located on a splendid point at the mouth of the LaHave River, in 1632 the museum’s site housed the first capital of New France, later becoming home to one of Nova Scotia’s iconic lighthouses.

Today, the museum celebrates the LaHave community from the first inhabitants to the present day, with treasures, activities and stories that bring our past to life.
