Dawn until dusk all days of the week.

Woodland Cemetery was three to four kilometers to the west of the hustle and bustle of 19th century London when the site was established in 1879. Woodland’s beautiful site on the bank of the Thames river made it the perfect spot for a park-style cemetery. Many years have passed since then, but Woodland Cemetery remains as peaceful and beautiful as ever due to its lush variety of trees and wildlife. Woodland features an art deco mausoleum built in 1919, the Fulford-Pixley mausoleum, and 100 acres filled with trees, monuments, and deer.

We’ve been uncovering stories from London’s history over the last five years. Every summer we’ve arranged these new stories into a theme, from the victims of the Victoria Day Disaster to influential London women.

We offer guided walking tours throughout the months of July and August where we’ll take you to a historic monument and tell you their story. These live tours are then turned into a walking tour brochure that you can print out at home.
