Woodland Cemetery was three to four kilometers to the west of the hustle and bustle of 19th century London when the site was established in 1879. Woodland’s beautiful site on the bank of the Thames river made it the perfect spot for a park-style cemetery. Many years have passed since then, but Woodland Cemetery remains as peaceful and beautiful as ever due to its lush variety of trees and wildlife. Woodland features an art deco mausoleum built in 1919, the Fulford-Pixley mausoleum, and 100 acres filled with trees, monuments, and deer.
