The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre is a community history museum for Rossland, BC covering the mining, industrial, skiing, social, cultural, and natural history of Rossland and area.
Also home to Rossland’s Visitor Information Centre as a gateway to the Kootenays and the Columbia Basin. Public washrooms, museum shop, free WiFi, coffee/tea by donation, family-friendly washroom.

Rossland, BC started out as an 1890s gold rush town!
The early Scandinavian miners brought skiing to the area, sowing the seeds for Rossland’s current ski resort and tourism industry.
The legendary Le Roi mine grossed roughly 24 million grams (roughly 53,000 lbs) of gold during its years of operations.
The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre is located on the site of the Black Bear Mine, an adit to the Le Roi
The Red Chair was first installed in 1947, making it the second chair lift in Canada.
