Fun Facts

The Britannia Mine Museum is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025!

The Museum offers an underground Copper Quest tour, gold panning, a multi-sensory BOOM show, and multiple indoor exhibit spaces.

On November 20, 1987, Mill No. 3 was designated a National Historic Site.

The first ore at Britannia was discovered in 1888.

It took less than 18 months to construct historic Mill No. 3, and it was completed in 1923. This means the building is over 100 years old!

Dozens of TV shows and movies have been filmed at the Museum such as G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Okja, The Decedents 2, and Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
