This Museum is housed inside one of the oldest structures in the town of Digby. It is a Georgian-style home constructed in the 1840s for the Woodrow family.

The Museum is named in honour of Rear Admiral Robert Digby, who was an Officer in the Royal Navy. Admiral Digby was responsible for arranging and evacuating over 1,500 United Empire Loyalists to Digby after the Surrender of New York in 1783.

Spread over two floors, the museum exhibits period rooms containing furnishings and artifacts relating to the history, heritage and culture of the Town and County of Digby. Of particular interest is our Marine Room, which displays ship models and navigational equipment. Our Parlor also exhibits vintage clothing and leisurely activities from the turn of the century.
