New Brunswick boasts a strong shipbuilding tradition. Visitors to Sackville can explore this aspect of the province’s industrial past at Boultenhouse Heritage Centre, named after the town’s most prolific shipwright, Christopher Boultenhouse. The centre consists of three buildings — a Georgian style house built by the Bulmer family circa 1790, a house built in the Greek revival style in 1840 by Boultenhouse, and the Anderson Octagonal House circa 1855.
