Remembering Africville: A Production by Canada’s History
Episode 4 of History Bits, an animated series presented by Canada’s History tells the story of Africville: a black settlement bulldozed by the city of Halifax that had stood for 150 years.
Learn more about the history of Africville by visiting the Africville Baptist Church, rebuilt as a Museum in 2012.
To accompany this video, Canada’s History is also sharing a note-taking exercise for students created by Rashida Symonds. Access the lesson plan here.
