Historic Joy Kogawa house was the family home of author Joy Kogawa.I’ve always been a huge fan of her poetry and novels.She was a survivor of internment camps where Canadians of Japanese descent were sent during WW2.She endured and later would become a great literary icon.

There is no more romantic way to travel than by train.What better way to discover British Columbia historic sites than by journey on a restored steam locomotive train.Kettle Valley Steam Railway in Summerland, British Columbia has a 90 minute journey for all the train enthusiasts.

The British Columbia Parliament Buildings are located in Victoria, BC and are home to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.They overlook Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour.The Parliament Buildings and surrounding areas are located in the traditional territories of the Lekwungen people.
