Discover your inner viking

New Iceland was an area designated for the settlement of the Icelanders who had immigrated from the perils of life in Iceland. Our permanent exhibits tells their story, from what conditions were like and why they left Iceland, the challenges they faced and the settlement.  Our temporary gallery hosts a variety of exhibits every year, from visual exhibits to exhibits from Federal museums and local artists.  There is always something new! And you get to dress up like Vikings !
