Woodside Farm is a historic farm in Sooke BC which started farming in 1851, making it Western Canada’s oldest continuously operated farm. It was the original homestead of the Muir family, one of the founding families in the Sooke region. The farm continues to operate today producing hay, fruits, vegetables, berries, eggs and more.

The farm has now become a friendly destination in Sooke, welcoming locals and visitors to meet our friendly animals, view our gardens, walk our amazing apple orchard maze and learn more about the history of Sooke.

The farm hosts school visits, birthday parties, fresh food events and has a wonderful farm shop. Stop in and visit us!

Fun Facts

“Wonderful place! Starts with a great farmstand, full of fresh greens, strawberries, veggies and eggs! You can walk around the farm, see all the animals and do the apple maze, that is pretty cool! Nice places to sit, relax and enjoy the view! There’s also a walk around the farm, and you can check the old barn full of hay! Had a great time with my family! Staff and owners were awesome”
