Built out of a former Synagogue, the Whitney Pier Historical Museum is a symbol of the industrial melting pot “The Pier” is truly known for. Artifacts representing the many aspects of Pier life, from the many cultures that came from across the world to work here, to the DOSCO Steel Plant they came to work for. Thousands of artifacts and photos vividly depict the ways of life gone by in this former industrial heart of Cape Breton Island.
