The Pacific Central Station was originally commissioned and designed by the Canadian Northern Railway in 1911. Construction of the station was completed circa 1919. In recognition of its historical significance, the station was designated by the Federal Government in 1991 as a Heritage Railway Station under the Heritage Railways Stations Protection Act. The station has been additionally designated by the City of Vancouver as a heritage building.

 

The Canadian National Railways (CNR) station in Vancouver, British Columbia was constructed in 1917 by the Canadian Northern Railway(CNoR) to designs by the architectural partnership of Pratt and Ross. It is currently owned by CN Rail and leased to VIA Rail.
