The Friends of The Broadway Theatre is a non-profit, community-based organization with charitable status, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Saskatoon’s historic Broadway Theatre, a civically and federally recognized heritage building. The Theatre is a 430-seat venue for live music, film, dance, theatre and both community and private events, and it plays a significant role as a community arts and culture centre.

  • The Broadway Theatre opened pm December 5, 1946 – designed by George Forrester.
  • During the 1970s it temporarily became an ‘adult’ movie theatre!
  • The Broadway theatre became a non-profit owned organization with charitable status in 1993.
