The Brantford Station was originally constructed in 1905 and has a heritage designation. The building consists of a single-storey station with a basement and a gross floor area measured at approximately 602.5m2. The roof extends to the west over a separate building section and a covered open area (breezeway). The west building section was a former Café and is intended for commercial tenants; the space is currently vacant. There is an additional vacant/leased section on the east side of the breezeway. There is also an unoccupied tower structure at north-east corner of the building.

The Brantford station was designated a Heritage Railway Station due primarily to its architectural and environmental significance. It is an excellent example of late GTR station design in the picturesque style.
