Skoki Ski Lodge has been welcoming skiers and hikers to the idyllic Skoki Valley for nearly a century. Built as a backcountry ski lodge in the 1930s, it is both a beautiful example of the rustic building tradition and a living link with the earliest days of ski tourism in Canada.
Skoki Ski Lodge consists of six log buildings situated amid subalpine forest approximately 14.5 km from the trailhead at Lake Louise. The site was designated in 1992 as a well-preserved representation of the Rustic Design Tradition and construction, and because of its association with outdoor recreation in the national parks. The lodge is operated by the Lake Louise Ski Area an agreement with Parks Canada as a commercial backcountry heritage attraction.
The lodge and its cabins and outbuildings are located along the banks of Little Pipestone Creek, more than 10 kilometres from the nearest road. Today it is a popular overnight retreat for hikers and skiers offering legendary backcountry hospitality, comfort and conviviality.
