The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery features a permanent exhibition “Remarkable Red Deer: Stories from the Heart of the Parkland”, rotating gallery space that exhibits contemporary art or social history, and a community art studio that is programmed with art making for all ages and abilities along with presentations of artefacts and stories that help us share our history.

The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery is a Class A Art Gallery that is operated by the Red Deer & District Museum Society.

The building that the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery is located in is owned by the City of Red Deer.

The beautiful park space south of the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery is home to some of the largest trees in the city centre and home to Heritage Square, which features the Norwegian Laft Hus, the Gaetz Library, and the oldest building in the city, the Stevenson Hall Block!

The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery offers historical walking tours throughout downtown Red Deer in the summer – fall.

The Collection held at the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery is 64,130 artefacts and objects (and counting!) large.
