  1. Built mid 1700’s, Ottawa House Museum is the lone surviving building of the very busy ship building and international trade community of Partridge Island. Long gone is the wharf, family homes and the militia’s blockhouse that protected the Minas Basin. In 1871, Ottawa House Museum was purchased as a summer home by Sir Charles and Lady Tupper, Father of Confederation, Premier of Nova Scotia and 6th Prime Minister of Canada.  Situated on the scenic shores of Upper Bay of Fundy, the 21 room, hand-hewn timbered building, now houses historic artifacts, archival materials and genealogy information.
