Heritage home built 1788-1798 by Col. Robert Nelles UEL in Grimsby, Ontario. The oldest continuously inhabited home between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Kingston, Nelles Manor has housed four successive generations of Nelles descendants, and remains standing today as a testament to Robert’s wisdom and perseverance through an ambitious colonial beginning.
A hidden gem in the heritage and cultural landscape of Niagara.

The Manor contains original wood works, fittings and many Nelles family items. I was lovely restored over 40 years from eight apartments to a family home, which was then donated to the community as a heritage house museum in 2016.
