Nestled on the shore of the Strait of Canso, the Mulgrave Heritage Centre is open daily for July and August from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

Mulgrave was once the gateway to Cape Breton, as ferry service operated from Mulgrave, Nova Scotia to Cape Breton. In fact, the museum is fashioned after the Scotia II, which ferried railcars, passengers, and their vehicles across the Strait for decades.
