Fun Facts
Nestled on the shore of the Strait of Canso, the Mulgrave Heritage Centre is open daily for July and August from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
Discover the local history of the railway, the ferries, the fisheries, and more. View our war displays and detailed models of the vessels that once thrived on local waters.
Mulgrave was once the gateway to Cape Breton, as ferry service operated from Mulgrave, Nova Scotia to Cape Breton. In fact, the museum is fashioned after the Scotia II, which ferried railcars, passengers, and their vehicles across the Strait for decades.
Come for a visit, we can’t wait to tell you more!
