Built in 1900, the McAdam Railway Station is a National and Provincial Historic site and a designated Heritage Railway Station. Located on the New Brunswick-Maine border the former Canadian Pacific Railway Station was part of the main CPR line into Atlantic Canada. It is an active museum offering tours, ice cream, catered meals, conference facilities and much more.
Come on in and take a tour. It’s a story of railroad history when ridin’ the rail was the only way to travel! We are open seasonally from June 1 to September 30, everyday from 10am-8pm.

– Every train had to stop at the McAdam Railway Station, and during the peak of railroading the Station would see 16-18 passenger trains per day and equally as many freight trains.
– The McAdam Railway Station’s dining room was a very exclusive establishment, reserved for only the most wealthy and prominent individuals.
– The lunch counter at the McAdam Railway Station served regular everyday individuals and would habitually serve upwards of 1,500 meals per day.
