Built in 1910, Mackie Lake House remains as one of the finest examples of grand home architecture of the era.

Book a tour to view the eclectic collection of antiques and artwork that fills the House and discover stories of Churchill’s secretary, a table with Napoleon connections, Jane Austen’s teapot, and a rattlesnake hunting Reverend.

Mackie Lake House offers private tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the months of June, July and August. Appointments for tours can be made by calling 250-545-1019.

Attend a Music at Mackie evening and enjoy an outdoor concert while eating your picnic dinner and sipping a refreshing beverage!

Mackie Lake House is also available for private rentals for weddings, celebrations and meetings.

* Mackie Lake House only had 3 owners before the Foundation took over in 1999.

*The Mackie family came to Coldstream to start a private boys school.

*The barn on the property is estimated to have been built in 1892.

*Paddy Mackie (the last owner of the House) was an artist, musician, naturalist, philanthropist, and a local teacher of French.

*There is an outdoor nature classroom and natural growth area for school children to explore and learn.
