Visit a restored and fully furnished 19th-century country school. Displays tell the story of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s life and secret romance in Lower Bedeque when she taught at the school from 1897-1898. Additional exhibits include the history of early education and the translation of Montgomery’s works into Japanese.
The museum was moved to Central Bedeque in 2021 and is operated by the Bedeque Area Historical Museum. It was previously located in Lower Bedeque where it operated until 1989.
