Kawartha Dairy is a family-owned and operated ice cream and dairy manufacturer founded in 1937 by Jack and Ila Crowe in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.
In the early days, our operation was a modest three-room facility where milk was cooled with ice cut from the lake and delivered to local customers by horse and wagon in the summer and by sleigh in the winter. In the 1950s, Jack Crowe returned to school to master the art of making ice cream, and the rest is history. Today, we continue to craft our ice cream the traditional way, using fresh milk and cream from local farms.
For over 85 years, Kawartha Dairy has been committed to providing high-quality dairy products to the Kawartha Lakes region and beyond.
