Best known as the fictional home of Anne Shirley – the spunky red-haired heroine of L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables – this place once belonged to cousins of the author. Now protected, the site includes many of Montgomery’s beloved lanes and pathways and the old house, lovingly decorated, brings Anne’s world to life. - Grounds available all year long with full services and programming in July/August
- Costumed staff, including “Anne Shirley”, on site July/August
- Two beautiful, looped trails: Haunted Wood and Balsam Hollow (includes the famous Lover’s Lane)
- Light refreshments available for purchase at Cordial Cafe (seasonal)
- Haunted Wood can connect visitors to other Montgomery Heritage Places, such as “The Site of L.M. Montgomery’s Cavendish Home” (separate admission required) and Montgomery Park.
