Distinction Prize SMQ – Société des Musées du Québec 2021
With a collection of 188 vehicles, 50 of which are featured in its Angus Pavilion, Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, is the largest museum of its kind in Canada.
Thanks to spectacular lighting as well as an immersive space between the visitor’s reception area and the museum’s Grand Gallery, the permanent exhibition will delight both diehard fans and new visitors alike.
The museum provides an opportunity to admire over 400 railway artifacts and view magnificent archival images on screens. Families can complete their visit with an outdoor ride on the museum’s miniature railroad as well as a stroll between two stations located on the museum’s site.
