‘Step into History’, in an enchanted walk in the Gardens of Town Mount Royal, in Montreal created as a Garden City, designated National Historic Site of Canada in 2008.

The town celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012 in ‘Centennial Square’.  The City is designated a Historic Site,  Monuments Act (RSC.,1985, c H-4 ).

Town of Mount Royal,  founded in 1912 was an initiative of the Canadian Northern Railway.  The model town was designed reflecting the ‘Garden City Movement’;  designed by Frederick Todd, Planner & Thomas Darling- Architect and CN Chief Engineer Henry Wicksteed.

Connaught Park

Connaught Park is named in honour of Arthur William Patrick Albert (1840-1942), Duke of Connaught who served as Governor General of Canada 1911-1916.

A symbol of British Monarchy, the roses are a key feature in the Park, grown in Pierre Elliott Trudeau Rose Garden.

Our enchanted walk takes us through the Garden as the Roses while the roses are in bloom.

Pierre Elliott Trudeau Rose Garden

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Rose Garden located in Connaught Park was renamed in 1985 to honour our former Prime Minister (1919-2000), who served as the 15th Prime Minister of Canada and was a Member of Parliament for Town of Mount Royal (1965-1984).
