The Claresholm & District Museum, situated in Claresholm’s historic CPR station, is a welcoming destination that invites both visitors and residents to delve into the region’s rich western Canadian heritage. The museum offers a host of amenities, including ample free parking, clean washrooms, complimentary WiFi, wheelchair accessibility, and scenic lawns adorned with picnic tables. Within the museum grounds, you’ll discover notable attractions such as the 1912 CPR Train Station, an expansive 8000-square-foot Exhibit Hall, Claresholm’s first schoolhouse from 1903, a charming log cabin from the 1920s, and a nostalgic CPR caboose.

Fun Facts

Our CPR station is half of the original station, initially built in downtown Calgary. The other half went to High River, and is now the Museum of the Highwood.
