In 1992, within Canada’s 125th Anniversary, the St.Laurent City Council named Park Beaudet ‘Park of Peace’, to highlight our Countries Commitment to maintaining World Peace and protecting the environment.
On that occasion, twelve (Acer Ginnata) Maple Trees, representing the ten Provinces and two Canadian Territories were planted.
In September 2017 twenty-five years later, St. Laurent City Council wanted to celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary with the Parks designation as a Peace Park, by creating a Commemorative Plaque.
Park Beaudet today, is one of 2000 Peace Parks in the World.
