As you drive down Main Street in Alix it’s hard to miss the Heritage Mural on the Alix Wagon Wheel Museum depicting scenes from early days in the village. You’ll see a horse and bullock hitched to the Todd’s covered wagon, one of Alix’s three railroad stations, the creamery, the first school and church, Irene Parlby of the Famous Five and more.

Marvel at our unique sculpture formed when butter and aluminum melted together during the creamery fire. Our taxidermy collection of Central Alberta Wildlife allows you to get up close and personal with a Golden Eagle, a Swainson’s Hawk, our provincial bird – the Great Horned Owl, other birds and fish. Meet Eager Beaver who once lived in Alix Lake.
