In November 2021, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Aurora, Ontario celebrated its 150th anniversary. This presentation pulls from the church’s anniversary museum exhibit with the Aurora Museum & Archives. It will track the church’s history from the 1870s to the present. Special attention will be paid to the church’s memorable fundraising campaigns in 1962 when it opened its new building—complete with a carpet independently funded by the women of the church. Speaker Robert Revington takes us through the church’s history, and how it has followed the peaks and valleys of the denominational history of the Presbyterian Church in Canada itself.
