Dan Conlin is a historian and the curator at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax. His MA thesis Saint Mary’s University in 1986 explored privateering in Nova Scotia. He also wrote the book Pirates of the Atlantic: Robbery, Murder and Mayhem off Canada’s East Coast in 2009 and his latest book is War Through the Lens: The Canadian Army Film and Photo Unit: 1941-1945.
