Grand Opening of the Nikkei Legacy Park in Greenwood, BC. The park is a commemorative legacy to the Japanese-Canadian families interned in Greenwood during WWII. The park features a gazebo with the history of the internment, family plaques, history of the Asahi baseball team and a beautiful rock garden with native plants.
After visiting the park people are encouraged to visit the Museum and visitor Centre to learn more of the internment and Japanese culture in Greenwood.
