Stroll This Summer with a Nelles Manor Neighbourhood Walk
Join us for the Museum’s guided Nelles Manor Neighbourhood Walk. Tour the Nelles family’s property as it would have been over 200 years ago. Colonel Robert Nelles’ property extended from Forty Mile Creek in the east, westward passed St. Andrews Anglican Church along what is now Highway 8/Main Street West, and from Lake Ontario to the Niagara Escarpment. You will see historic homes, the site of the Nelles mills, where militia were trained and learn some local history.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for Friends of Nelles Manor and are available on Eventbrite.
The walk is rain or shine and will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Comfortable shoes are recommended as the walk is not all on flat/paved surfaces.
