The Maison Louis-Joseph Forget is a nineteenth-century mansion in Montreal, Quebec. Retaining its original finely carved balustrades and many sumptuous pieces of Canadian art, the house is an architectural treasure inspired by the Second Empire style. Officially recognized in 1974 as a monument historique by the Ministère des affaires culturelles du Québec, the building – along with the neighbouring Reid Wilson House and Mount Royal Club – represents one of the last ensembles of Square Mile houses on Sherbrooke Street today.

The Macdonald Stewart Foundation and the Canadian Federation of Friends of Museums (CFFM) have partnered to open the Maison Louis-Joseph Forget to the public for Canada Historic Places Day! Join us on July 6th to learn more about the organizations and the history of the Maison Louis-Joseph Forget.
