Now in its 60 th year, the Delta Concert Band’s repertoire includes a wide range of music from popular favourites, to more traditional wind band music. Under the baton of Jim Tempest they also strive to support school band programs by sharing the stage at concerts, coaching band students, and providing an annual bursary to a graduating student of the Delta School District who will be pursuing a degree in either Music or Music Education. To that end, Jim works to encourage the growth of community-based music making through active membership in the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, the Canadian Band Association and the British Columbia Band Association.
Kitsilano Showboat presents free live shows every Fri/Sat/Sun from 7:00-9:00 pm, June 21-July 28, 2024.
