Ariana is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who specializes in French chanson, jazz, and popular songs from around the world. Originally from Nova Scotia, she has spent the last 8 years living and performing in Montréal. In her solo show she accompanies herself with a chromatic button accordion and offers a diverse repertoire of popular songs in a variety of languages. Accompanied by her electric accordion, Ariana Nasr delivers a fresh take on beloved world popular songs from the 20th century. With a voice that effortlessly glides between songs sung in French, English, Spanish, Italian, and other languages, she interprets a diverse range of styles with clarity, nuance, and emotional depth. Ariana’s repertoire pays tribute to French chanson, highlighting the genre’s most celebrated icons, while also showcasing her own interpretations of jazz, blues, and popular standards.
