The Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre is a free-standing dedicated genealogy research centre and houses a number of important collections of genealogical and historical interest. Some of our collections include:

  • Genealogical research material and historic items of local, provincial, national and international interest. These have been acquired through donations of personal and community group collections from Canada, the USA and Europe. The genealogy library also includes other records, letters, books, Ontario Vital Statistics BMD, map collection and more.
  • Hastings County Land Records for about 100 years prior to 1955
  • Hessian Research of Johannes (John) Helmut Merz

  • Volunteer genealogy coaches are always available to help – whether you are a beginner
  • Over 5,000 volumes in our library – much of it research donated by family researchers and books related to the history of the Quinte area. Our collection is always growing
  • Bookstore with many hard-to-find volumes about genealogy and history.
