Government House SK is proud to be part of Historic Places Days.
This year’s theme is Makers from Coast to Coast to Coast: Honouring Arts, Crafts and Storytelling .
In celebration of #HistoricPlacesDays, join us Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20 from 1 – 4 p.m. and experience what was once domestic chores of the Victorian Era but are now thought of today as arts and crafting.
Experience throughout the afternoon demonstrations of knitting, tatting, quilting, silver polishing, and butter making at Government House.
While visiting us, be sure to take a tour of the museum where our visitor experience hosts will transport you back to 1905 when Saskatchewan became a province and the House was the residence of the first Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan. They will weave interesting stories of how things were done and the tools that were used.
This event and tours are free of charge and no registration is necessary. See you there!
