Cottonwood House Historic Site is located east of Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada on the Gold Rush Trail to Barkerville Historic Town & Park. In 1963 the province of British Columbia purchased 26-acres of the property and Cottonwood House became a designated provincial historic site. Much like it was when it was built in the 1860s, Cottonwood House offers a resting place to travellers between Barkerville and Quesnel. Today, this wheelchair-accessible provincial historic site will allow you to experience first hand over 75 years of the Boyd family history and the many features this unique heritage site has to offer. Situated on the unceded and traditional territories of Lhtako Dene Nation, Cottonwood House Historic Site is managed and operated by the Barkerville Heritage Trust.
