Historic Places Day Event – 4 Jul 2020 YouTube Premiere at 11am Part I
Whether you are a resident of London, ON, or leave in another province (or anywhere across the world), you may have heard of the military base in our city. But did you know that the building identified as “A” Block was designated a national historic site in 1963? Initially known as the Infantry School Corps (ISC) building, it was erected between 1886 and 1888 to host “D” Company of the ISC.
Join our Curator, Dr Stanciu, to explore the grounds, unique images and facts of Wolseley Barracks before and after it was built. Part I will premiere on our YouTube channel at 11 am on Saturday July 4th, and it will unveil some unknown facts about the history of the building and its exterior architecture.
