Our historic site includes a section of the original Cariboo Wagon Road, which was built between 1862 and 1865; a roadhouse built in 1860, which operated as a roadhouse/hotel until 1916; multiple other historic buildings, including barns, a cabin, a root cellar, an ice house, and a blacksmith shop, among others; as well as an Indigenous Interpretive Site displaying the heritage and culture of the Shuswap People.
Stagecoach rides are available with admission to the historic site.
We have daily events and activities throughout the summer.
We also have a gift shop and restaurant open for the public to enjoy, and RV & Tent camping areas, and cabins for overnight stays available for rental. More info is available on our website https://www.historichatcreek.ca/.
