Almost mid-way between the Canso Causeway & the North Sydney Ferry Terminal, this is the last Station House still standing on it’s original site from the nearly fifteen that were built for the early steam operated trains. It was one of the busiest locations which ensured it was the last to fall by the wrecking ball in the 1980’s allowing the Community the opportunity to acquire it. Now restored it is a part of the story of the early communities which thrived along the rail line. A snow plow, General Electric locomotive engine, wooden caboose, boxcar, speedy & the TerraNova 2- narrow gauge sleeper turned business car from Newfoundland are also on sight for viewing. There is a small railroad themed gift shop & artifact display area, public (1 wheelchair accessible) washrooms & picnic tables on site.
