The Timmins Museum: NEC is a public resource dedicated to the presentation, promotion and preservation of heritage and culture through exhibitions, community education and public programmes.
The Grey Gallery hosts travelling shows from across Canada, while the Black Gallery is home to our permanent local history exhibition: « Where we Stand: Stories of the Land ».
Our collection of artifacts helps to tell the story of the community and its residents. The archives include over 30,000 images of the Porcupine area, including images from the earliest days of the Porcupine Gold Rush.
Take a tour of the Hollinger House, to get a feel for mining life in the 1930s, or explore the Prospectors Cabin and our latest addition – an ONR Caboose!
