Faits amusants
The Museum of the Highwood was created in 1961 – marking 2021 as it’s 60th Anniversary!
The station was dismantled at it’s original location in Calgary and transported by train to High River in 1911, with half of the structure continuing down the tracks to Claresholm.
The past decade has been a resilient one for this museum – surviving both a fire and a flood!
The Bear statue that stands tall out front is named « Bo ». He was donated to the museum by a television production and is one of many movie props that are on display.
