The Erland Lee (Museum) Home exists in memory of Erland and Janet Lee, who, along with Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, co-founded the first Women’s Institute Branch in Saltfleet Township, Ontario, in 1897. Six generations of the Lee family resided in
the home, from its beginnings as a log cabin in 1808 through to 1972. The beautiful Carpenter Gothic facade of the home, complete with maple leaf bargeboard trim, was built by Abram Lee in 1873. The Erland Lee (Museum) Home is open for
tours from Wednesday through Saturday, and by appointment.
